Perming

Permanently curling the hair has come a long way from the past. New technology allows perms to be done while conditioning the hair at the same time even using alpha hydroxy acids to smooth the hairs outer surface during the process.

Perming at the Underground requires a consultation to assess hair type, curl type and style. This can be ringlets, soft waves or bouncy curls.

Color glosses can also be added the same day to give shine and vibrancy to the hair.

One length or hair past the shoulders may weigh down the curl and loosen it and it is therefore recommended that some layering is done and the curl can be tighter initially to avoid loss of curl size.

Hair may be permed to add body to hair as well as add movement. The perming process generally takes 2-3 hours and a perm will last from 3- 6 months depending on length of hair.
